EUGENE, Ore. – Arizona State basketball (11-7, 5-2) heads northwest to Eugene to face Oregon (13-5, 5-2) in a pivotal Pac-12 matchup. The two teams currently sit atop the Pac-12 standings, along with Arizona. The winner will remain tied with Arizona for the top spot in the conference.

The Ducks won five straight to begin conference play before dropping the last two games. The Sun Devils won four straight before dropping two games in Pac-12 play. ASU won Saturday against USC to get back in position to be even with Oregon atop the conference standings.

Oregon owns the all-time series with ASU, going 26-19 over the span of the two teams’ now 25-year history. However, the Sun Devils have won four of the last seven games, including both games played in Oregon.

The Kenpom rankings have Oregon at No. 53 and ASU at No. 100. Despite being less than halfway through the conference schedule, the magnitude of this game cannot be understated. With a win, the Sun Devils would get a huge Quad 1 win, sit atop the Pac-12 standings, and take a step closer to putting themselves back on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament.

The game can be seen on Pac-12 Network or listened to at Arizona Sports 98.7 FM at 7 p.m.

Without further ado, here are our Sun Devil Daily staff predictions for Arizona State against Oregon.

Arizona State basketball predictions against Oregon

ASU: 70 Oregon: 81

Oregon’s offense has been averaging nearly 80 points per game this season and has made nearly 50% of its field goals this season. Oregon will also have home-court advantage, so ASU will need to bring its A game against the Ducks. – Truitt Robinson – (5-4)

ASU: 68 Oregon: 76

Oregon has one of the best offenses in the Pac-12 this season and top 25% of the NCAA as a whole. ASU is going to have to get out in transition on both ends if they want to keep it close in the game. The one thing that I think is the determining factor in this game is the home court for Oregon. It is hard to win on the road and that will prove to be a factor. – Cooper Burns (9-5)

ASU: 70 Oregon: 79

ASU will need to replicate its offensive performance against USC if it wants to be able to keep up with the strong Oregon offense. Efficiency will be key if the Sun Devils want to upset the Ducks in a hostile road environment. – Anthony D’Amato (6-9)

ASU: 75 Oregon: 72

It’s been an interesting two-week span for ASU, with its first conference loss (Washington), a bad loss to UCLA, and a bounce-back win over USC. This is a massive game and I think Coach Hurley will have his players ready. I think the Sun Devils will be able to control their emotions on the court, led by Frankie Collins. Oregon has a big interior size, so look for Shawn Phillips Jr. and Bryant Selebangue to play big roles tonight. I think ASU goes into a hostile environment and squeaks out a win tonight. – Douglas Santo (9-6)
