TEMPE, Ariz. — Arizona State basketball welcomes San Francisco to Tempe on Sunday afternoon. The Sun Devils are coming off an exclamation point victory over Sam Houston State, 78-61. They seem to have found a rhythm within the offense and will look to keep it going against the Dons.

ASU comes into the game with a 4-2 record, 3-0 at home, and has won two straight games. San Francisco comes into the matchup with a 5-2 record, winning three straight games. The Dons lost their lone true road games and are 1-1 in neutral site games.

The two teams have met five times in their history, with ASU winning the first three and San Francisco winning the last two. The Dons came to Tempe two years ago and left with a 1-point victory and hosted the Sun Devils last year, pouring it on in a 37-point win.

Here are our Sun Devil Daily staff predictions for ASU’s game against San Francisco.

Arizona State basketball predictions against San Francisco

ASU: 71 San Francisco: 75

Arizona State will be looking to avenge last season’s blowout loss in San Francisco but will come up just short in a very competitive matchup. At the end of the day, the Dons offense will prove to be just too much for the Sun Devils. It will take a full team effort and a full 40 minutes for Arizona State to win their third straight. – Anthony D’Amato (4-0)

ASU: 70 San Francisco: 68

This is by far the toughest test ASU has seen at home this season. The offense is going to need to play lights out to keep up with San Francisco. I think it will be close throughout, but the ASU defense will prevail in the end. – Cooper Burns (4-0)

ASU: 76 San Francisco: 69

The ASU offense has finally found some rhythm, which I think continues. Whether the Sun Devils can get the 3-point shot dropping or not, I think Jose Perez and Frankie Collins will be able to get to the free-throw line and keep the offense afloat. I think the defense plays well and gives the offense a chance to win the game. Although ASU’s free throw shooting has been awful, I think they’ll make enough and win this game. – Douglas Santo (4-0)
