TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State volleyball has had a phenomenal season so far. With a current record of 12-2 (3-0), ASU is ranked No. 8 in the country. The Sun Devils are ahead of big volleyball names such as SMU, Baylor, and Purdue.

ASU is currently ranked second in the Big 12, just behind Colorado, who sits at 13-2 with one more win. Looking forward, the Sun Devils have a challenging schedule that will show their true colors. Do they have what it takes to continue to dominate the Big 12?

ASU’s near future

On Saturday, Oct. 4th, ASU swept Utah in an absolute blowout. With Sun Devils showed how dominant and dangerous this team really is. With ASU playing this well as it gets into the meat of its season, the Sun Devils have the potential to become back-to-back Big 12 champions.

Looking at ASU’s next match, the Sun Devils will play Baylor in another Big 12 battle. The Bears are ranked No. 15 in the country. ASU will host Baylor on Oct. 8 for possibly the biggest game of the season for both teams. Both teams have shown so much potential to make it to this point, showcasing amazing teamwork, skill and talent.
