On Monday, four-star small forward Zion Sensley told On3 Sports that he is down to five schools. Arizona State basketball made the cut for the small forward along with Alabama, St. Marys, Hawaii, and LSU. This could be a huge pickup for Bobby Hurley and the Sun Devils.

Arizona State basketball is in the mix for a four-star

The 6’8 small forward is currently ranked the 43rd best player in ESPN’s top 100. ESPN ranks the forward as the fourth-best prospect in Calif. An impressive feat for a state that consistently puts out top-end talent.

Sensley resides in San Francisco and has switched schools a few times during his high school career. During his freshman year, Sensley played at Archbishop Riordan in the city of San Francisco. Due to the covid shortened season, he wanted to go somewhere where he knew he would be able to play basketball post-pandemic. Sensley did not go far, going up to Napa, Calif. to play at Prolific Prep. After two seasons at Prolific Prep, he will return to Archbishop for his senior season.

Prolific Prep is known for having players come from all over the country to play basketball. Current ASU basketball player Kamari Lands spent some time at Prolific Prep as well.

Last season Sensley helped the team to a 35-2 record and 22-1 in league play.

The top prospect just wrapped up a very successful AAU season playing for Team WhyNot on the EYBL Circuit. Here’s a clip of him tipping in a game-winner for his team this past week at the Nike EYBL Finals.

Sensley has not announced an official commitment date as of yet but when he does we will have it for you on Sun Devil Daily as soon as it is announced.
