TEMPE, Ariz. — Arizona State football had arguably the quietest National Signing Day in program history. Thanks to the work that Kenny Dillingham and Co. put in for the Early Signing Day in December. The Sun Devils have already acquired over 40 new scholarship players this offseason, putting them at over 90 in the last two seasons.

Only one unsigned traditional high school recruit inked his future with the Sun Devils yesterday, the rest were all transfers. Let’s take a look at the players that signed with Arizona State football yesterday.

Traditional recruit to sign with Arizona State football

Kyan McDonald: McDonald was the only unsigned high school prospect to sign yesterday, and 247 Sports ranked him as the No. 7 best unsigned recruit still available. The safety from O’Dea High School in Washington was a teammate of incoming Arizona State recruit Jason Brown.

McDonald ranks as a three-star prospect and the No. 726 player in the 2024 class per 247 Sports. He had scholarship offers from 14 schools including Michigan, Texas A&M, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and others.

Transfers to sign with Arizona State football on National Signing Day

Cole Martin: Martin was one of the biggest pickups of this transfer portal class. The cornerback originally hails from Basha High School in the Valley and spent his freshman season at Oregon. In his true freshman season, he had 21 tackles and an interception for the Ducks.

247 Sports ranks Martin as a four-star transfer and the No. 148 overall player in the portal.

Roman Pitre: Pitre plays outside linebacker at Purdue and 247 Sports ranks him as both a three-star transfer prospect and a three-star recruiting prospect out of high school.

Coming out of high school Pitre held offers from Purdue, Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado, and others.

Jacob Rich Kongaika: Kongaika caused quite a stir when announcing his commitment to the Sun Devils out of the portal. The defensive lineman appeared in 13 games last season for ASU’s arch-rival the Arizona Wildcats. He tallied 14 total tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and two quarterback hurries as a sophomore.

247 Sports ranks Kongaika as a three-star transfer and the No. 522 overall player in the portal and the No. 50 DL.

Jeff Clark: Clark is a graduate transfer DL from Louisville. In 2023 for the Cardinals, he tallied 14 total tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss in 13 games played. 247 Sports ranks him as a three-star transfer, the No. 531 overall player in the portal, and the No. 51 DL.

Myles Rowser: Rowser is a New Mexico State transfer and racked up 70 total tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception as a sophomore safety. Before his two-year stint with New Mexico State, Rowser played for Campbell, an FCS program.

Out of high school, Rowser was a four-star with offers from Alabama, Michigan, Arkansas, and others. 247 Sports ranks him as the No. 375 overall transfer and No. 36 safety.

Kamari Wilson: Wilson is another highly touted safety newcomer. The former four-star prospect coming out of high school tallied 39 total tackles and a forced fumble as a true freshman in the SEC before redshirting his sophomore season in 2023. Wilson chose the Gators over Florida State, Georgia, and LSU.

247 Sports ranks Wilson as the No. 317 overall transfer and No. 30 safety.

Keyshaun Elliot: Elliot is another addition via New Mexico State. The linebacker was a standout for the Aggies, tallying 111 total tackles, 10 TFLs, a fumble recovery, a forced fumble, six pass breakups, and four quarterback hurries, as a sophomore. Elliot is one of the most proven newcomers in ASU’s transfer class.

247 Sports ranks him as the No. 495 overall transfer and No. 31 linebacker.

Josh Atkins: The offensive line was a major area of concern last season, and Atkins provides some much-needed reinforcements. The offensive tackle started 13 games last season for Hawaii. Anytime you can bring in a 13-game starter, it should help and provide depth.

247 Sports ranks Atkins as a three-star transfer and as the No. 529 transfer and No. 30 OT.
