St. Joseph High’s Tounde Yessoufou has Arizona State basketball as one of his top three schools. Yessoufou will make his announcement later today at 12:30 p.m. AZT.

Yessoufou took his official visit to Tempe on Sept. 6. After his visit, he now has the Sun Devils in his top three choices, alongside USC and Baylor.

Five-star prospect Tounde Yessoufou will decide between Arizona State basketball, Baylor, and USC.

According to on3.com, Yessoufou, a 6-foot-5 small forward is the No. 11 overall player in the country on On3’s top 150 player rankings for the 2025 class. He is the fourth-best small forward and third-overall player in California.

Throughout his career at St. Joseph, Yessoufou has played in 97 games. The senior’s career averages are nearly 30 points per game, with 11 rebounds, along with 2.8 steals and 1.7 blocks—stats according to maxpreps.com.

However, junior year was Yessoufou’s best season statistically. In 35 games, the young star averaged 32 points per game, with 7.5 defensive rebounds and 2.7 offensive rebounds per game. He also caused havoc on the defensive side of the floor, averaging 2.6 steals per game. It’s no wonder why many colleges are eyeing the future star.

On his scouting report provided by on3.com, the senior is a physically developed, explosively athletic” prospect. Along with that, the report goes on to talk about his “consistent production” and his overall athleticism.

“He has the quick-twitch to defend the ball and the anticipation and length as a team defender. Offensively, he has a solid pace and is at his best getting downhill in straight lines,” says Joe Tipton on on3.com.

If Arizona State basketball coach Bobby Hurley can land a player like Yessoufou, it will be a huge addition to ASU’s 2025 recruiting class.
