TEMPE, Ariz. — Four-star wide receiver Adrian Wilson has committed to Arizona State football.
Wilson is out of Weiss High School in Pflugerville, Texas. The WR ranks as the No. 155 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 18 overall WR (247 Sports Composite).
Wilson immediately becomes the highest-ranking member of Arizona State’s 2025 class and is the first wide-receiver pledge of the Hines Ward era at ASU.
Adrian Wilson commits to Arizona State football
Just last month Wilson de-committed from Oregon saying, “After a lot of thought, consideration, and conversations with my loved ones I am making the decision to re-open my recruitment and de-commit from the University of Oregon. I would also like to thank all the coaches that have continued to recruit me during the time I was committed. I would also welcome coaches that aren’t yet or stopped recruiting me to buy stock now.”
Last season, Wilson put up some very good numbers during his junior year.
In 2023 Wilson compiled:
- 51 catches
- 927 receiving yards
- 18.2 yards per catch
- 14 receiving touchdowns
The standout wide receiver was highly sought after. The Sun Devils beat out schools including Oregon, TCU, Auburn, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and more for Wilson. In total, Wilson racked up 24 total offers, all from Power Five schools.
Currently, Wilson is on campus this weekend visiting ASU. This is the first big-name recruit for ASU under new receiver coach Hines Ward. Wilson is the highest-ranking wide-receiver pledge of the Kenny Dillingham era at ASU, and sources close to the situation say Ward played a significant part in this recruitment.
