TEMPE, Ariz. — Jason Brown out of Seattle, Wash., and O’Dea High School has committed to play for Kenny Dillingham and Arizona State football.

According to Rivals, Brown is the No. 192 overall player in the nation, second best player in the state of Washington, and the No. 16 best running back in the class of 2024. Brown is the last running back inside the top 40 to commit.

Dillingham has done a tremendous job of recruiting skill positions in the Northeast portion of the country thus far. In addition to Brown, Dillingham also has a pledge from Jayden Fortier who is the number one ranked tight end in the state of Oregon.

Fortier gave Brown an enthusiastic welcome on Twitter.

As for Brown himself, he is an All-American Bowl selection and has received high praise from some national recruiters.

247 Sports had the following to say about Brown. “Brown has redefined his body for his senior year. He looks faster and more explosive while still flashing his usual vision and balance that allows him to churn out more yards after initial contact. He’s also seen some time in the secondary, but make no mistake, he’s a running back and he’s down to just over 190 pounds, compared to his junior season in which he played over 200. His productivity is on pace to be his most productive season of his four years as a starting back.”

Brown’s recruitment

The four-star back had initially said his final three were Michigan State, Oregon, and Washington. However, the Sun Devils quickly surged in his recruitment.

Brown visited ASU this weekend and has been impressed by what he has seen. Even more impressive of a flip for Dillingham considering the schools he named in his final three and some of the other schools who offered Brown.

Brown was also offered by the likes of Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee among others.

With the commitment, Arizona State football’s 2024 recruiting class now ranks eighth in the Big 12 behind West Virginia by only .01.
