Arizona State football schedules an official visit with tight-end prospect
247 Sports Composite ranks Amar as the No. 801 overall prospect nationally and the No. 40 TE prospect in the 2025 class. 247 Sports also ranks him as the No. 71 player in Calif.
Amar holds 11 scholarship offers from schools including Arizona State, Arizona, BYU, Louisville, and others.
Per 247 Sports, ASU is the only school to schedule a visit with Amar at this time.
The primary recruiter in Amar’s recruitment is ASU TE coach Jason Mohns. Mohns is only in his second season on staff with the Sun Devils. Before joining the college ranks, Mohns was a high school football coaching legend at Saguaro High School in the Scottsdale area where he won several state championships.
Mohns was an instrumental process in acquiring a gem in the 2024 recruiting class. The Sun Devils signed TE Jayden Fortier and found a gem in Fortier early. ASU was Fortier’s first P5 offer back in Oct. of 2022. At the time Fortier wasn’t ranked nationally and held an 82 (out of 100) grade on 247 Sports. Fast forward and Fortier would finish as a four-star prospect with a 90 recruiting grade.
Could Mohns have discovered another gem? Only time will tell as the TE coach looks to build on his recruiting profile.
ASU currently has the No. 5 recruiting class in the Big 12 for 2025 with four pledges.
