Arizona State football target Sire Gaines of Perris, California has announced his commitment date. Gaines will announce his school of choice this upcoming Saturday, July 15th.

Arizona State football is in the mix for a three-star

Gaines attends Orange Vista high school and is listed as an athlete. He played both strong safety and wide receiver. Gaines also tacked on some rushing attempts in his junior season as well. He’s truly a do-it-all player.

Back on May 19th, Gaines announced his top six schools including Arizona State. The five remaining teams he announced were Washington State, Washington, Arizona, Boise State, and San Diego State in no particular order. Out of the six remaining schools, Gaines has visited four of those all coming in the month of June. Gaines visited San Diego State on June 6th, Washington State on June 9th, Arizona State on June 19th, as well as Boise State on June 23rd. In an interview with ASU Rivals writer Hod Rabino, he talked about how much he enjoyed his visit to ASU and the culture being created by Kenny Dillingham and his staff.

“What stood out to me was how real the culture was… there’s nothing I don’t like about Arizona State. I love everything about it. Coach Dillingham is a player’s coach. When I first got there, he didn’t see me, and he was playing shadowbox with his players.” Gaines said.

You can read the rest of Rabino’s interview with Gaines here.

That is yet another player to comment on Dillingham and his staff’s commitment to changing the culture and how they love the player’s first attitude around the program. When Gaines announces his commitment we will have it for you right here on Sun Devil Daily as soon as it is announced.
