Arizona State quarterback pledge Michael “Butter” Tollefson is a player for Sun Devil fans to be excited about. Tollefson is a member of ASU’s 2025 recruiting class and is a native of Southern California. 247 Sports’ Composite rankings clock Tollefson as a four-star prospect, ranking No. 317 overall and as the No. 26 QB in the class.
Recently Tollefson participated in the SoCal Elite 11 Regional Camp, for the second year in a row. The future Sun Devil impressed numerous scouts.
Arizona State QB commit Michael Tollefson shines at camp
Last year 247 Sports named Tollefson a Top Performer of the SoCal Elite 11 Regional Camp, and he carried that into this year’s camp.
“Tollefson was a top performer for us at last year’s camp and had another strong camp on Sunday. He spins it as well as anyone with plenty of velocity,” said a 247 Sports scout. “He’s a plus athlete with good pocket mobility and can comfortably make all the throws outside the pocket as well. The Arizona State commit still needs to put it all together with the pads on but has the talent and looks primed for a big senior year.”
Last season Tollefson played for San Juan Capistrano (Calif.). For his senior season, he will be playing at Tustin High School, where he is expected to put up big numbers.
Prior to choosing Arizona State football as his future home, the four-star racked up over 20 offers. Schools like Arizona, Florida State, and Georgia all offered the California native.
The Sun Devils currently have three commits in the 2025 class including Tollefson, which ranks them No. 41 overall (247 Sports).
