TEMPE, Ariz. — Arizona State football welcomes Deion Sanders and Colorado to Tempe for an afternoon showdown on Saturday. ASU comes into the matchup 1-4, looking to end their four-game losing streak. Colorado enters on a two-game losing streak but sits at 3-2 overall. Both programs have new coaches, and both have had more roster turnover thanks to the transfer portal than any other Power 5 program.

Saturday’s contest is important for both teams. Kenny Dillingham and Arizona State are looking to end the losing streak and get a much-needed victory in front of a sellout crowd.

Sanders and Colorado are looking to get a win and help inch towards the six-win mark, pushing for bowl eligibility. Last season Colorado went 1-11 and was one of the worst teams in football. If Sanders can get this team to six wins, or more, he’ll be in coach of the year discussions.

Without further ado, let’s get into our predictions.

Arizona State vs Colorado score predictions

Colorado: 27 Arizona State: 17

I think both teams start out slow due to the heat and will try and figure one another out. I think the determining factor late is the inability of the ASU offense to sustain drives ultimately hurting the defense. – Cooper Burns (4-1)

Colorado: 31 Arizona State: 23

ASU stays tight with Colorado, exploiting a defense that’s given up 90 points over its last two games. But Shedeur Sanders and the Buffs’ offense is too much for ASU. Colorado goes up by eight points late in the game and ASU’s offense is unable to put together a game-tying drive. I think Elijhah Badger has another big day for the Sun Devils, but Sanders throws for over 300 yards and Xavier Weaver racks up over 100 yards receiving in a Colorado win. – Douglas Santo (2-3)

Arizona State: 28 Colorado: 24

Call me an optimist, but I think Arizona State finally figures things out offensively. Colorado’s defense has been lackluster, and I think Dillingham calls a good game offensively. Cameron Skattebo and Elijhah Badger have big games and thrive off the energy at Mountain America Stadium and a sellout crowd. The defense maintains the success they’ve had this season, but this time stay fresher thanks to help from the offense. – Brendon Pricco (3-2)
