TEMPE, Ariz. — Another college football Saturday is upon us, and with it is Arizona State’s matchup with Oklahoma State. This is the first Power 5 opponent in the Kenny Dillingham era, and I believe he’ll have his Sun Devils prepared. A blackout nightcap on national TV should garner a lot of eyes, and Arizona State is in the position to make a statement.
Myself and other members of the Sun Devil Daily staff are here to tell you our score predictions for the game.
Sun Devil Daily Staff Predictions: ASU vs. OSU
Here are the Sun Devil Daily staff predictions for Week 2. I can tell you already, there’s some difference in opinions amongst us.
Arizona State: 20 Oklahoma State: 13
I think this is a close and low-scoring game that ASU wins late in the 4th quarter. I think Cam Skattebo surpasses 100 all-purpose yards in the game and Arizona State’s defense comes up with a big fumble in the second half. – Douglas Santo
Arizona State: 20 Oklahoma State: 23
I think both teams struggle on offense but Oklahoma State finds the right quarterback to lead them to a win late. – Cooper Burns
Arizona State: 31 Oklahoma State: 24
I think the Arizona State defense handles Oklahoma State’s interesting quarterback situation well. The defensive line stops the run and slows down the Cowboys. On the other side of the ball, Cameron Skattebo runs all over the defense. OSU’s 3-3-5 defense is susceptible to outside runs and I think Skattebo makes them pay. Rashada also rips off a couple of deep throws, picking on the Cover Three defense. Kenny Dillingham and the Arizona State Sun Devils move to 2-0. – Brendon Pricco
