TEMPE, Ariz. — College football is officially BACK, Arizona State takes on Southern Utah tonight at 7:00 p.m. The Sun Devils will look to begin the Kenny Dillingham era in Tempe with a grand victory, and the Thunderbirds from Cedar City, Utah look to play spoiler. Here are our predictions for tonight’s contest.

Arizona State vs. Southern Utah: Sun Devil Daily predictions

ASU: 38 Southern Utah: 10

This season Arizona State is going to get off to a hot start. Kenny Dillingham is going to want to make a splash in his first game as the Sun Devils head coach. With Jaden Rashada under center with a new look offense, I think the Sun Devils have a strong chance to put up points tomorrow. As for the defense, Brian Ward is going to have his defense ready to go against the Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds had their moments on offense last year but in their nonconference road games, they averaged around seven points per game. I think ASU will do fine against them tonight. – Cooper Burns

ASU: 48 Southern Utah: 10

Arizona State has won 23 straight home openers, and I don’t think they’ll have any trouble making it 24 straight. Despite Arizona State self-imposing a bowl ban earlier this week, I believe Kenny Dillingham will have his team ready to take care of business. Southern Utah faced one Power Five team, Utah, last season and lost 73-7. I think Arizona State will cruise to a home-opener victory tomorrow night. – Douglas Santo

ASU: 42 Southern Utah: 13

I believe Dillingham and his new staff will have the Sun Devils ready to go. Jaden Rashada throws for over 200 yards and both Jalin Conyers and Elijhah Badger have touchdown receptions. Transfer running back Cam Skattebo breaks off a big carry on the first drive to set the tone, and ASU doesn’t look back. Southern Utah is able to score one touchdown in the first half and gets two fourth-quarter field goals. – Brendon Pricco
