Arizona State vs Utah predictions
Utah: 31 Arizona State: 17
I think ASU can hang around early in the first few quarters but I think the deciding factor is the crowd for Utah and the noise level. I think ASU will have some success running the ball for short to medium yards but as the game goes along the Utah defense will step up and shut that down. Closer than everyone thinks. – Cooper Burns (7-1)
Utah: 17 Arizona State: 13
I think both defenses hold strong throughout the game. ASU had its best offensive game of the season last week, but Utah is one of, if not THE best defense ASU has faced this season. I think ASU will struggle to move the ball and score points. But the Sun Devils defense is the strength of their team and Utah’s offense is not as high-powered as it’s been the past few years without Cam Rising at quarterback. I think the Sun Devils will be able to slow down the Utes’ rushing attack but a couple of big plays will help the Utes get a couple of touchdowns on the board. I think that will be enough to lift Utah over ASU in a low-scoring affair. – Douglas Santo (5-3)
Utah: 17 Arizona State: 9
This could be an extremely ugly game. Arizona State is the lowest-scoring team in the Pac-12, and Utah is the second lowest. Utah gains the fewest yards per game in the conference, and Arizona State gains the second-fewest. The point is, these are the two worst offenses in the conference, and both of them are top-four defenses in the conference. They’re similar teams, both rely on their defenses to carry their lackluster offense. I think this will be a low-scoring affair, and Utah’s defense is just better. It’s another one-possession game in the fourth quarter, and ASU doesn’t score a touchdown. – Brendon Pricco (5-3)
