Dillingham put a lot of emphasis on getting Fette and getting him early. After ASU’s big win at Texas State, the young coach stayed after to watch some recruits play that weekend, a rare opportunity during the season. One of those players was Fette, who goes to school in El Paso.

ASU beat out a host of teams to get Fette including:

  • Baylor
  • Kansas
  • Houston
  • New Mexico State
  • TCU
  • Texas

Here is where Fette ranks in the class of 2026 according to 247 Sports Composite rankings:

  • 153rd best player nationally
  • 13th best quarterback
  • 18th best player in the state of Texas

Fette hails from Del Valle High School in El Paso, Texas.

Last season as a sophomore Fette won the Texas District 1-5A-I overall MVP. That award was handed to Fette after racking up

  • 2465 passing yards
  • 27 passing touchdowns
  • 346 rushing yards
  • 13 rushing touchdowns

Those numbers helped lead him to a playoff berth but fell short in the first round.

This season, Fette is leaving right where he left off last season. Through three games Fette has racked up:

  • 612 passing yards
  • 15.3 yards per completion
  • Five touchdowns
  • 113.1 QB rating
  • 148 rushing yards
  • Three rushing touchdowns
  • 9.3 yards per rush

Fette is the first pledge of the 2026 class for Dillingham and ASU football.
