TEMPE, Ariz. — The massive transfer portal haul continues to come in for Kenny Dillingham and his staff and this time it is former Arkansas linebacker Jordan Crook.
The Duncanville, Texas native was a three-star coming out of high school and ranked as the 51st-best linebacker in the class of 2022.
Arizona State picks up former Arkansas linebacker in transfer portal
Several powerhouse teams including Alabama, LSU, Michigan, USC, and aforementioned Arkansas all vied for his talents.
In Crook’s freshman season at Arkansas, the linebacker tallied 12 total tackles.
When he leaped to his sophomore season, Crook got significantly more playing time appearing in 10 of the 12 regular season games. In the linebacker’s second collegiate season, he compiled 28 total tackles. Crook also forced a fumble and had a sack.
Crook served as a backup at Arkansas, but presumably could make a big impact in the Sun Devils’ depleted linebacker core.
Reginald Samples, the father of ASU wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Ra’Shaad Samples is the head coach at Duncanville.
Crook has two years of eligibility remaining with an available redshirt.

Dillingham has noted that more commitments will be announced tomorrow so keep it here for all the updates as they come.
