Four-star prospect Casmir Chavis visiting ASU
Coming in as already one of the top players in the state of Minnesota, the 6’2 and 180 lbs athlete has already gotten multiple offers from several different schools. He has gotten offers from Fresno State, Georgia, Washington, West Virginia, and others. After he visits Arizona State, he plans to head north to Seattle, Wash. where he will be visiting the Washington Huskies sometime in mid-October.
The scouting report on Chavis
Chavis is a very explosive player with quick bursts of speed and great athleticism, which is why he has multiple schools eyeballing him. His quickness and agility make him lethal on the court. Last season, he recorded 16.0 points per game and held a shooting percentage of 62.3% from the field. The guard scored 401 points combined during the regular and post-season. All stats are according to Star Tribune.
On top of basketball, he is also playing WR on his high school’s football team. 247 Sports ranks Chavis as the 108th overall player in the country.
Arizona State basketball is still looking for its first commitment of the 2024 recruiting class. Hurley and the staff were able to land two four-stars in the 2023 recruiting class.
Chavis still hasn’t made any commitments yet for where he wants to go. In the meantime, he will continue to play the 2023-2024 season back home in Minneapolis.
