Four-star prospect schedules official visit with Arizona State football

TEMPE, Ariz. — Arizona State football currently has the No. 14 overall recruiting class in 2025 per 247 Sports. Kenny Dillingham and the Sun Devils have been on fire on the recruiting trail, and they aren’t looking to slow down. The Sun Devils are one of three schools to lock in an official visit with a four-star edge player from California.

Arizona State football locks in an official visit with a four-star prospect

Jared Martin is a four-star edge prospect from Central High School in El Centro, Calif. Martin has announced three schools that he will visit this upcoming summer.

Currently, 247 Sports Composite rankings slot him as the No. 25 edge prospect and the No. 323 overall player in the class of 2025.

The three schools that Martin will visit this summer are:

  • ASU (May 31st)
  • California (June 7th)
  • TCU (June 13th)

As for Martin, he is a three-sport athlete. He plays football, basketball, and baseball.

Throughout his baseball career, Martin was impressive.

  • .421 average
  • 67 hits
  • 49 RBI
  • 48 runs
  • .503 OBP
  • Eight home runs

For basketball, Martin’s numbers are equally significant throughout his career:

  • 20.6 points per game
  • One assist per game
  • 5.8 rebounds per game
  • 0.9 blocks per game

Lastly, the stats that everyone cares about: football.

Throughout his first three years in high school football, Martin has compiled:

  • 104 total tackles
  • 38 assisted tackles
  • 66 solo tackles
  • 25 tackles for loss
  • 26 sacks (in just 24 games)
  • Two fumble recoveries

According to On3 Sports, ASU is currently the favorite to land Martin.

On3 gives ASU a 31% chance to receive a pledge closely followed by Cal at 27% and TCU at 23%.

If he were to commit to the Sun Devils, Martin would be the second-highest-ranked pledge in the 2025 class behind four-star WR Adrian Wilson.
