CHICAGO, — Arizona State basketball opens up their 2023-24 campaign tonight in Chicago against a good Mississippi State squad. Both of these teams made the First Four of the NCAA Tournament last season. ASU dominated Nevada, winning 98-73, before losing to TCU.
Mississippi State fell in a close one to Pittsburgh, 60-59.
Seeing two former NCAA Tournament teams face off in their first game of the season, is rare. The way the game is being broadcast is even more rare.
How to watch Arizona State basketball vs Mississippi State
Arizona State’s opening night contest against MS State will not be on any of your regular networks like ESPN, CBS, Fox, etc. It also won’t be on any of the traditional streaming services of Peacock, ESPN+, etc either.
It will be broadcast live on Barstool.TV. This is a free website where you can stream the game. You can find the link to watch here.
However, this isn’t a surprise as the event, The Barstool Sports Invitational, is being hosted by Barstool Sports.
As well as being broadcast on Barstool.TV, it will also feature many prominent Barstool Sports personalities throughout the night. This includes Barstool founder Dave Portnoy, and Barstool Sports personality Dan “Big Cat” Katz. The pair will be calling the game.
Despite the abnormal way to watch the game, you can still listen to Sun Devil voices Tim Healey and Kyle Dodd. The pair will call the game for Sun Devil Radio, on ESPN 620 (KTAR). A link to listen is here.
Arizona State vs Mississippi State tips off at 7:30 MST at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The Bulldogs are currently favored by 3.5 points over the Sun Devils.
