Sun Devil Athletics launches new NIL page “ACTIVATE”

NIL has completely transformed the landscape of college athletics, regardless of sport. There is still a lot of uncertainty in navigating the troubling waters, but Arizona State and Sun Devil Athletics took a massive step in the right direction.

Sun Devil Athletics launched its new NIL page on its website. This page has an abundant amount of resources and information.

The page provides a mission statement about NIL.

“Sun Devil Athletics is committed to empowering all Arizona State University student-athletes to build a legacy both on and off the field. ACTIVATE is designed to ignite all Sun Devils to develop a strong personal brand, build a professional network, and be provided with all the resources needed to navigate it all,” the website states. “Through deliberate and thoughtful partnerships with our community and alumni network, ACTIVATE delivers all the tools necessary for student-athletes to leverage NIL opportunities to promote personal growth, financial security, and begin preparing for life after college athletics.”

ACTIVATE provides links to Sun Angel Collective, the official collective of Sun Devil Athletics, as well as Opendorse. Opendorse is where businesses can directly book athletes for events, advertisements, etc.

The page also provides a fairly extensive FAQ regarding NIL.

NCAA rules are strict about how involved universities can be with NIL, at least directly. Arizona State looks to be doing a successful job getting involved and providing outstanding resources, without breaking any NCAA rules.

You can visit the site here.
