Arizona State football played its first game of the season on Thursday night. That means ASU fans are searching for some games to watch on Saturday. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with our second edition of Sun Devil Saturday Guide. Here are the best games for Arizona State football fans to watch. All of them somehow involve the Sun Devils.

Sun Devil Saturday Guide: Week 1

Colorado at TCU

Colorado opens up the Deion Sanders era with a tall test in Week 1. The Buffalo have to travel to take on a team coming off a national championship appearance. Sanders and his staff welcome in over 60 new transfers, so this Colorado team is basically brand new. It’s hard to know what to expect from them.

This is a good opportunity for Arizona State fans (and the rest of the world) to get their first look at Colorado. TCU is favored by 21 points. I think Colorado has the talent to potentially cover.

The game is at 9 a.m. (Arizona time) on Fox.

Arizona State welcomes Colorado to Tempe on Oct. 7.

Fresno State at Purdue

Fresno State could very well be ASU’s most difficult non-conference matchup. They have a chance against Purdue, as the Boilermakers are only favored by four. ESPN gives Fresno State a 25.6% chance at winning.

The Bulldogs are consistently a top team in the Mountain West and a top Group of Five team. This will be a very close game, and I won’t be shocked if Fresno State wins.

The game is at 9 a.m. on Big Ten Network.

On Sept. 16. Arizona State hosts Fresno State in a night game. If Fresno State beats Purdue, they may be favored over Arizona State in a couple of weeks.

Oklahoma State vs. Central Arkansas

The Arizona State coaching staff will likely all be tuning in to this matchup. Not because it’s supposed to be a close game, but because Oklahoma State is ASU’s next opponent.

The Cowboys will open their season against an FCS opponent and are given a 96% chance to win the game (ESPN). However, regardless of score and opponent, this is a good chance to look at Oklahoma State’s style of play this season. Are they pass-heavy? Run heavy? Do they like to blitz? Who are their best players? Well, we don’t know any of that… yet. Kenny Dillingham and Co. will be tuning in on Saturday afternoon.

The game is at 4 p.m. on ESPN+. Arizona State hosts Oklahoma State on Saturday, Sept. 9. at 7:30 p.m.

Honorable mentions

Here is a look at the rest of the Pac-12 slate, any of these games are good to watch to keep up with the rest of the conference and many future Arizona State opponents.

Portland State at No. 15 Oregon – 12 p.m. on Pac-12 Network

Boise State at Washington – 12:30 p.m. on ABC

California at North Texas – 1 p.m. on ESPNU

Nevada at USC – 3:30 p.m. on Pac-12 Network

Washington State at Colorado State – 4 p.m. on CBS Sports Network

Northern Arizona at Arizona – 7 p.m. on Pac-12 Network

Coastal Carolina at UCLA – 7:30 p.m. on ESPN
