TEMPE, Ariz. — ASU volleyball returned home in style on September 21st, sweeping Arizona in the Territorial Cup. A sold-out crowd at Mullett Arena watched the Devils finish the match on a 6-0 run, en route to their 13th consecutive win of the season. Sun Devil Daily’s Aiden Blanc captured all the action from an intense rivalry match in Tempe.

ASU volleyball is off to a successful start
The victory over their in-state rival pushed ASU to a 13-0 record, giving the Sun Devils one of the best starts in program history.
It was also the first home game of the season and the first time ASU volleyball has played a match in Mullett Arena.
The venue opened in Oct. of 2022 and fits 5,000 spectators. The Sun Devils sold it out. The energy and environment were unmatched and were another bright spot to go along with the victory.

Fast forward a few weeks and Arizona State is sitting 15-1, with their only loss being to one of the best teams in the country. ASU fell in a sweep to No. 3 Stanford on Sept. 29.
Arizona State’s next match is USC on Friday, Oct. 6. This matchup will take place at Desert Financial Arena. The next time ASU hosts a match at Mullett Arena will be on Oct. 8 when the UCLA Bruins travel to Tempe.
