TEMPE, Ariz. — Kenny Dillingham has emphasized the desire to successfully recruit in-state kids to Tempe. However, Arizona State football hasn’t been able to find a lot of local recruiting success throughout the last few years, but that is beginning to change.

Rylon Dillard-Allen, a top-five recruit in Arizona, announced his commitment to the Sun Devils today.

Dillard-Allen is a safety out of Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix. He ranks as the No. 478 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class, and most importantly is the No. 4 player in the state of Arizona (247 Sports). Dillingham wants to prioritize recruiting in-state prospects, and Dillard-Allen is a significant addition.

The local talent is yet another pledge that was in Tempe this weekend for an official visit.

Along with the visit to ASU this weekend, Dillard-Allen was planning visits to Kansas, UCLA, USC, Washington, and Nebraska.

Dillard-Allen racked up 12 total offers before committing to ASU. He’s the highest-ranking in-state recruit to commit to the Sun Devils since 2017 (Tyler Johnson). He’s also the first in-state pledge of Arizona State’s 2025 recruiting class.

With the addition of Dillard-Allen, ASU’s 2025 recruiting class moves up to No. 3 in the Big 12 (247 Sports). ASU’s 2025 recruiting class also moves up to No. 22 nationally after this in-state pickup.

The last time ASU had a top-25 recruiting class in the country was in 2020… the same class recruited illegally during the COVID-19 dead period. The ASU recently served the infractions for the violations committed by Herm Edwards’s staff.
